Seconded to Country gnome/Graham & hanna. I'm pleased to know I'm not the only person of these opinions given.
Harrogate has always had a poor reputation for people being uncivil and bad mannered. They are as bad working in shops & supermarkets, if they can't have respect for customers they shouldn't be in those types of jobs. I don't live in harrogate I'm glad to say as two visits were enough for my liking. I have also heard lots of people say how awful & ostentatious it is, and it's true.

awful! Bar staff are unpleasant and rude,food is overpriced and below standard.we wont be visiting again.

I have yet to find a harrogate pub that has some spark. It would help if some staff would show a bit of enthusiasm, because lacking this will not encourage custom.
