VERY ARROGANT STAFF, ESPECIALY THAT BLEACHED BLONDE W**K*R THAT CALLS HIMSELF A CHEF. MADE ME FEEL VERY UNWELCOME. KITCHEN IS DIRTY AND UNHYGENIC, SENDING OUT CONTAMINATED POOR QUALITY FOOD AT A VERY HIGH PRICE. MY FOOD WAS SPAT IN DELIBERATLY BY THE KITCHEN STAFF WHEN I COMPLAINED IT WAS TOO COLD. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Seconded. A bit of an unwelcoming feel but I had to see for myself after I was informed it was ok. Not to my taste, got some unfriendly looks, and my backside was aching from the uncomfy chairs after only Ten minutes. Ten minutes was enough, I was more than happy to make a sharp exit and out of town.
Not a bad discription for 'pretentious'.

what is it with harrogate. I visited this place and got looks as if I was some alien from outer space!. First visit and certainly my last. Full of pretentious people & absolutely nil atmosphere. But what do you expect from a pretentious town.
