H there,

I grew up in Harrogate and now live in the U.S.

I left Harrogate back in 97",it was bad then and had been for years. Clearly nothing has changed.

I say start with the parents and stop being so politically correct that you become oblivious to whats going on around you. I don't mean you personally just a generalisation.

Dish out some heavy sentences and make some examples.

I also think it's perhaps time for people in Harrogate to stop moaning in silence and demand a town hall meeting with the Mayor, Police chief and anyone else of importance.

Whilst I understand that this might be easier said than done the alternative is unthinkable. More of the same and worse to follow.

I once heard an American Police officer describe this kind of situation in his own local in Chicago.

He called it the " Broken window theory" It starts with one broken window in an area. If that window isn't replaced soon then another broken window will follow and so on.

Anyway that's my ten cents worth.

Give it a try. nothing ventured, nothing gained..

Brad.
